Cheers for Tender Years
“Cheers for Tender Years” is our annual reverse raffle and silent auction fundraising event, which takes place every February at the Oasis Golf Club & Conference Center. Tickets include dinner for two, drinks, and a chance to win the $1000 grand prize. In addition, many prizes are given throughout the reverse raffle. The silent auction, sideboards, games and a 50/50 raffle offer more fun and chances to win.
Pumpkin Farm Field Trips
In October, both the 3s and 4s classes visit local pumpkin farms. The 3s classes visit Blooms and Berries in Loveland, and the 4s classes visit Shaw Farm, located on Rte 131 in Milford. There are lots of fun activities for the kids, including a hay ride and picking out their own pumpkins.
Family Fun Night
This event is an opportunity for all current Tender Years families to come together for a fun-filled evening of games, good food, and entertainment.
Special Persons’ Night
This is a wonderful opportunity for our Tender Years students to invite a special person, such as a family member, adult friend, etc., to come spend an evening at their school. The student and their special friend will participate together in a shortened version of the school day, which includes circle time, a fun art activity, and special snack.
Mother’s Day Tea
In honor of Mother’s Day, the children invite their mother (or grandmother) to school for a special Mother’s Day Tea in which they serve special foods they have prepared themselves.
3s End of Year Celebration
Families from the 3-year-old classes are invited to celebrate the end of their child’s first year of preschool with a short party, which includes a presentation of certificates of completion.
4s Graduation
Families from the 4-year-old classes are invited to the preschool graduation, in which a cap and gown ceremony will take place. A short party will follow after the presentation of awards & diplomas.
4s School Bus Field Trip
On one of the last days of school for our 4-year-olds, we plan a field trip that allows our kids to ride a school bus with a parent in preparation for the first day of kindergarten. This experience is often a favorite memory for the kids!
End of Year Picnic
All current and incoming Tender Years families are invited to Miami Riverview Park for a fun-filled picnic, where we can say goodbye to those preschoolers who have just graduated and say hello to our new incoming members.
