“As a child I had attended a cooperative preschool, so when I began looking at preschools for my daughter I knew I wanted to look into cooperatives. While I was searching I came to realize just how few co-ops are left. One of my friends children had attended Tender Years and she recommended the school knowing my desire for a co-op. I decided to check them out, even though the school is 30 minutes from my home. When I walked into the school I absolutely fell in love. I could just see my daughter playing, laughing, and learning here. We recently finished up our first year at Tender Years and we had an amazing experience. The chance to work alongside the teacher and be with your child as they learn is a priceless experience. I am so excited that my daughter will be returning this fall and that I will still have two more years as my son will enter next year. This is the only way I could imagine my children experiencing preschool! Thank you Tender Years for allowing parents to be a part of their children’s first school experience!”

“Not only do you get the privilege of being in the classroom with your child once or twice a month, but you also get the opportunity to work with like-minded parents. I’m not sure of any other preschools in the area that can offer that. Being a part of Tender Years is something special.”

“When I learned about the co-op option — a preschool run exclusively by parents and the teacher they have selected, a high adult-to-child ratio, and all for a fraction of the cost of a traditional preschool — I was sold. Aside from the financial benefit of having significantly lower tuition than other preschools, one of the other major benefits is the bond created with our son through school. Conversation is encouraged because we know what to ask; we’ve seen, or heard directly from the teacher, what they’ve been learning. Another major benefit is feeling like I won’t have any regrets because I missed out on this opportunity to share with him; this time is going fast, and I don’t want to miss a minute of it.”

“I have been graced with the blessing of having three of my young sons enjoy their preschool education at Tender Years. I had no idea getting into it how wonderful preschool could be. Then I began noticing the differences between these sons’ experiences and that of my oldest, who had attended a different school. Tender Years was not just a preschool, but a community of families who deeply cared about their children’s early education and socialization. It makes a tremendous difference when parents become what is essentially part of the classroom structure. The kids received so much enjoyment out of having their parents involved in the classroom. They were learning skills of independence and confidence, while at the same time receiving encouragement and individual attention from their own parents. And the most enjoyable part of all of these benefits was the making of memories for the families! Some of my sweetest memories of my boys’ childhoods have been proud moments that I’ve spent with them in the classroom, watching them make friends and eagerly contribute to their lessons.”
